We believe that securing our country’s future relies on the committed action by citizens who are willing to develop and maintain relationships with others who have differing political views.
Maintaining the ability to work together where common ground is found is essential for a healthy, functioning democracy.
A great starting place to join us is during our online Georgia Meetings. It will be a chance for you to listen, and learn more about Georgia’s Braver Angels Chapter, our upcoming events, and ways for you to help us. For dates and times of upcoming meetings, email Sharyn Dowd at sdowd@braverangels.org.

We are a 100% volunteer driven group, focused on helping Georgians to learn how to work together despite our disagreements.
Braver Angels seeks to depolarize American politics. Our work is rooted in grassroots organizing. From the grassroots however, our volunteer leaders (supported by a small staff) leverage Braver Angels programs and unique organizing structure to impact community life and American institutions.
We operate under the Rule of Balance – that is, at every level of leadership we strive to include both reds and blues in approximately equal numbers. Our leaders and members range from working class to affluent - they come from many backgrounds, such that our organization can reflect the country we seek to serve.
Braver Angels uses the terms “Red” and “Blue” to signify that a person may be inclined Red or Blue but not agree completely with that party’s candidates or positions on all issues.
We also recognize that some Americans don’t identify as leaning Red or Blue. We welcome those Others to join us in our mission of bringing together Red and Blue Americans to depolarize America.
